StreamElements giveaways usually break for one of three reasons: the loyalty points system is off, your viewers don't have enough points to buy a ticket, or the bot lost its connection to your channel. Here's how to check each one, fix it, and a no-install alternative if it keeps happening.
Viewers type !ticket and nothing happens

StreamElements runs its giveaway through the loyalty points economy: viewers earn points by watching, spend them on tickets with the !ticket command, and you draw a winner from the dashboard. That extra layer, points, ticket costs, a live-or-not check, is exactly where things quietly break.
None of this is a bug so much as the system doing what it's built to do. If Loyalty is off, or a viewer's balance is too low, or the bot dropped its connection after hours live, the command just fails without much explanation. The fix is almost always one of the six checks below.
Work through these in order. Most StreamElements giveaway problems are solved by the first two.
Step 01
Giveaways sit on top of StreamElements' loyalty economy, so if Loyalty is switched off in the dashboard, !ticket does nothing. Open Loyalty in the StreamElements dashboard and confirm it's enabled before you announce a giveaway.
Step 02
A ticket purchase fails, often with no error at all, if a viewer's balance is below your ticket cost. Points only build up while you're live and the viewer is visible in your Twitch viewer list, and collapsed chat or full-screen mode can quietly drop someone off that list.
Step 03
The !ticket command only works while a giveaway is running. If one was set up earlier and timed out, or never got started from the dashboard, viewers typing !ticket just get silence. Open Giveaways and check the status before you tell chat to enter.
Step 04
If commands worked earlier in the stream and then stopped, the bot has likely lost its connection to your channel. Log out of the StreamElements dashboard, log back in, and reconnect the channel from the bot settings page.
Step 05
If tickets were already sold but the giveaway won't close or draw, use Refund in the dashboard. It returns every spent point to entrants so you can relaunch cleanly instead of leaving viewers out the points they paid.
Step 06
StreamElements announces the winner in chat, not on a browser-source overlay. If chat not seeing a visual reveal feels broken, that's expected, it's a missing feature rather than a bug. Add an alert workaround, or skip building one with a tool that already has a live reveal (more on that below).
