Size reference
All of these need to be square images. Twitch wants PNG with transparency, under 1 MB per file. This tool outputs exactly these.

Tip: start from source art of at least 112px, ideally 500px or more. Downscaling looks clean, upscaling never does.

Twitch emotes come in three sizes: 112x112, 56x56 and 28x28 pixels, all square PNGs under 1 MB. You can upload just the 112px version and let Twitch auto-generate the smaller two, but checking the 28px version yourself is smart, because that is the size everyone actually sees in chat. This tool gives you all three, plus the sub badge set (72, 36, 18) and a 128px Discord version.
No. Everything runs in your browser using the canvas API. Your art never touches our servers, there is no account and nothing is stored. Close the tab and it is gone.
Yes. PNG and WebP transparency carries through to every output, and all downloads are PNGs. JPGs have no transparency to begin with, so a JPG will come out with its original background. If your art is not square, turn on "Fit entire image" and the tool pads the empty space with transparency instead of cropping.
Small sizes are brutal. Fine lines, thin text and busy detail disappear at 28 pixels, which is why this tool shows your emote inside a mock chat line at real chat size before you upload anything to Twitch. If it is unreadable there, simplify the art: bigger shapes, thicker outlines, higher contrast. Starting from source art of at least 112px (ideally larger) also keeps the downscale sharp.
